Short daily sessions beat one long monthly fight. Most of what is here is chosen so a nervous pet will tolerate it, because a tool your pet hates is a tool you stop using.

• Brushes and combs: deshedding brushes and dematting tools for the dead undercoat, double sided and self cleaning button brushes for daily work, and silicone bath brushes for short coats and nervous pets.
• Nail care: clippers with safety guards, 2 in 1 trimmer and grinder sets with an LED light, cordless kits, and scratch boards with a treat box for dogs that will not sit for a clipper.
• Bathing and drying: bath brushes with a shampoo dispenser, an automatic paw washer, grooming wipes, a quick dry bathrobe and a foldable grooming hammock.
• Fur clean up: lint rollers, reusable fur brushes, a rotating head hair remover broom and a laundry catcher for everything the brush missed.

Start at the tail and work forward. A pet that has been ambushed at the head once will duck the brush every time after that. If your cat grooms itself and refuses a brush, a corner self groomer with a catnip pocket lets it do the work on its own terms.
