Which side to use? Blades first on a knot, comb second for the loose undercoat underneath. On a coat that's only shedding, the comb side is all you need.

Read the lock before the first groom. Slide it to the left to lock the pins, then brush along the body in the direction the coat grows.
In unlock mode, keep the head about 0.1 in (2 mm) off the skin and tilt the handle up. Don't use unlock mode on a knot.

How often should I use it?
A few minutes two or three times a week keeps most coats in order; during shedding season a short daily session catches the loose undercoat before it reaches the sofa.
How do I clean the tool?
Pull the collected fur off after each use and wipe the tool with a damp cloth. Electrical tools are wiped, never rinsed, unless Specifications says otherwise.

The quality is quite good and feels sturdy in hand, not like cheap lightweight plastic. The spacing of the teeth is well designed, so it doesn't pull on the pet's skin. It's gentle to use. My dog was cooperative and didn't resist, overall a great experience.

Great! I finally managed to remove the mats from my long-haired cat. If there are knots, just brush a few more times and they come out.
