Crinkle Duck Catnip Kicker Toy for Cats and Kittens

She grabs your forearm with both front paws and rabbit-kicks it with the back ones. It is not aggression, it is the finishing move, and she needs something other than your arm to land it on.

This catnip kicker toy is a long plush duck she can hold with her front paws and kick with her back legs, with catnip in the body and crinkle in the wings.

Why she keeps going back to it:

• Catnip inside: pulls her attention over and gets the play started
• Crinkle sound: crinkly material in the wings answers every bite and kick
• Soft textured fabric: comfortable to bite, kick, hug and cuddle
• Easy to grab and kick: the duck shape gives her plenty of places to hold and wrestle
• Beats boredom: a simple way to add stimulation to an indoor cat's day
• Solo or together: she will work it over on her own, or you can play it with her

It is long rather than round, which is the whole point. Round toys get batted away. This one she can trap against her chest and go to work on.

Some evenings it is a wrestling partner. Other evenings she falls asleep on it. The same toy covers both, which is more than most cat toys manage.

The cutaway shows where the catnip sits, packed into the body of the duck rather than anywhere she can rub it straight off in the first five minutes.

Here is the quiet half of it. One paw over the duck, fast asleep, with the waffled plush surface shown close up beside her so you can see what she is lying on.

The two sizes, measured. Small runs 9.8 by 8.7 in (25 by 22 cm), large runs 12.6 by 11.0 in (32 by 28 cm), so you can hold the tape up against how far she actually reaches when she kicks.

Getting the size right

Small measures 9.8 x 8.7 in (25 x 22 cm). Large measures 12.6 x 11.0 in (32 x 28 cm). Pick the large if she is a big cat who likes something substantial to hold.
