Highlights

  • Metal blade: hard and sharp enough to work through a thick double coat without repeated passes over the same patch
  • Reaches the undercoat: lifts the dead layer that sheds, not just the guard hairs on top
  • Light pressure is enough: the blade lifts loose undercoat without you having to press into the skin
  • Textured TPR grip: stays put in your hand even when the coat is damp
  • Peels clean: the collected fur comes off the blade in one piece when you're done

You brushed him yesterday and the sofa is covered again by lunch. A pin brush skims the surface and pulls off the guard hairs, but the loose undercoat underneath stays put until it decides to let go on your cushions.

This deshedding tool uses a single high-hardness metal blade to get under the topcoat and lift the loose undercoat out in one pass. It works on short, medium and long coats, on dogs and on cats.

Where the fur actually comes from:

  • Metal blade: hard and sharp enough to work through a thick double coat without repeated passes over the same patch
  • Reaches the undercoat: lifts the dead layer that sheds, not just the guard hairs on top
  • Light pressure is enough: the blade lifts loose undercoat without you having to press into the skin
  • Textured TPR grip: stays put in your hand even when the coat is damp
  • Peels clean: the collected fur comes off the blade in one piece when you're done

The blade is the whole tool. An edge that's too soft rolls over and stops cutting after a season.

This one is hardened metal, which is why it keeps working through the same coat month after month rather than turning into something that just parts the fur.

Control through a long session. Deshedding a double coated dog isn't a two-minute job. The ABS body carries a textured TPR overlay so the tool doesn't twist in your hand halfway through, which is what keeps the strokes even and the pressure light.

One tool for the dog and the cat. The same blade and the same handle work across a retriever, a shepherd and a longhaired cat, so you're not buying a second tool for the second animal. Use lighter pressure and shorter strokes on cats.

Four panels showing the Noblias deshedding tool used at home on a golden retriever, on a ragdoll cat and on a german shepherd, and then cleaned by peeling the fur off the blade.

The fur peels off in one go. When the blade fills up, pull the mat of collected fur off by hand and drop it in the trash. Nothing to press, nothing to pick out tooth by tooth.

Getting the size right

One size, sized to sit in the palm rather than to span a back, so you keep control around legs, tail and face. The dimension diagram in the gallery gives the full measurements.

Specifications

  • Blade: High-hardness metal, sharp and durable
  • Handle: ABS body with textured TPR non-slip grip
  • Size: 5.75 x 2.68 x 1.38 in
  • Blade width: 4.72 in / 120 mm
  • Tooth spacing: Approx. 0.76 mm
  • Suitable for: Dogs and cats, short to long coats

Safety note: The blade is sharp, so use light pressure, stroke with the direction of hair growth, and store it out of reach of children.

Give the coat ten minutes on a Saturday morning, and the fur that would have spent the week on your cushions and your dark clothes is in the trash instead.

Common questions

How often should I use it?
A few minutes two or three times a week keeps most coats in order; during shedding season a short daily session catches the loose undercoat before it reaches the sofa.

How do I clean the tool?
Pull the collected fur off after each use and wipe the tool with a damp cloth. Electrical tools are wiped, never rinsed, unless Specifications says otherwise.

Is it suitable for cats and dogs?
The Suitable for line in Specifications tells you. Most grooming tools work on both as long as the pet is comfortable with the pressure; start gently and keep sessions short.

How long does delivery take?
Orders are processed in 1 to 3 business days and usually arrive in 6 to 12 business days in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, or 7 to 15 business days in Europe. Every order ships tracked and the link comes to your email.

What if it arrives damaged or is not what I ordered?
Email support@noblias.com with a photo within 7 days of delivery and we send a replacement or refund you. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery.
