Center Console Dog Car Booster Seat

He wants to sit where you're sitting. Every trip starts with a small dog on your lap, then on the console, then back on your lap. This seat gives him the spot he keeps climbing toward, and gives you both hands back.

This dog car booster seat straps onto the center armrest box so a small dog or a cat rides beside you at window height, contained instead of moving around the car. Four removable boards hold the walls square and a built-in leash keeps him in.

Rigid walls, leash and a wipe-clean shell:

Two ways to fit it, both in minutes. On the console, the bottom straps go around the armrest box and the side straps run between the two front seats.

On the passenger seat, the side straps thread through the gap at the back of the seat and buckle on the far side.

The boards bend to go in through the zips and then hold the four sides square, so he has something solid to lean against rather than fabric that gives.

The details you notice on the third trip. The side pocket takes treats, a leash and poop bags so they aren't in the door bin.

The velvet top edge is where he rests his chin. The Oxford shell is what you wipe down after a wet walk.

It comes out of the car too. Off the console it works on the passenger seat, and with the strap over your shoulder it carries a small dog into the vet or the cafe as a bag rather than a car seat.

Boards out, straight in the machine. Pull the four boards back out through the zips, unclip the straps, fold it flat and wash it. Air dry it fully before the boards go back in.

Getting the size right

One size, built for toy breeds, small dogs and adult cats rather than medium or large dogs. Measure your pet from the floor to the top of the back, and along the body, and check both against the dimension image in the gallery before ordering.

Measure your armrest box too if it's unusually narrow or wide.

Safety note: The built-in leash is a tether that stops him climbing out, not a crash-tested restraint, so clip it to a harness and never to a collar.
