Highlights

  • Blade side: fewer, longer blades that get under a knot instead of dragging across it
  • Teeth side: a dense row that lifts dead undercoat out in handfuls
  • Rounded tips: the ends are turned so they don't scratch the skin as they pass
  • Anti-slip grip: shaped for the hand, which matters when a session runs long
  • Two head sizes: the small one for cats and small dogs, the large one for a big coat

The mat behind his ear isn't coming out with a normal brush. You've tried. A bristle brush skates over the top of it and pulls at the skin underneath, and he flinches away before you've made any progress.

This double sided dematting comb has curved blades that slide under the mat and cut it open from the inside, then a denser row of teeth on the other face to take out the loose undercoat behind it.

Two sides, two different jobs:

  • Blade side: fewer, longer blades that get under a knot instead of dragging across it

Two step panel: side A demats and detangles, side B strips loose undercoat, with the fur removed shown alongside

Stainless steel teeth on an ergonomic handle. The teeth have a rust-resistant finish and sit in a head that flips over in your hand. The handle is contoured and rubberized, so it doesn't turn when the comb meets resistance.

Short strokes, not long drags. Hold the coat above the mat so the pull goes into your hand instead of his skin, and work the blade side through in short passes. Then turn it over and take the loose fur out behind it.

Long-coated dogs are a thirty-minute job, not a five-minute one. The handle is the part that decides whether you finish or give up halfway, so it's built to be held through a full coat.

Blue or pink, same steel. The color changes nothing but the handle. Both finishes carry the identical stainless head, so pick by which one you'll actually spot on a shelf.

Getting the size right

Two head sizes in two colors, and the head is what you're choosing between. The small head suits cats, kittens and small dogs, where a wide head can't reach behind an ear or under a leg.

The large head suits medium and large dogs and thick double coats, where a narrow head turns a grooming session into an hour. If you have one of each at home, the small head is the safer single purchase.

Specifications

  • Head: dematting blades on one side, undercoat teeth on the other
  • Teeth: stainless steel with rounded tips, rust-resistant
  • Handle: contoured anti-slip grip
  • Sizes: small head and large head
  • Colors: Blue, Pink
  • Suitable for: long, medium, thick and double coats

Safety note: Work in short strokes and hold the coat above the mat so the pull is on your hand, not the skin. A mat that sits tight against the body is a job for a groomer, not a rake.

Ten minutes a week with this comb keeps a coat workable, while a month of leaving it means the clippers come out.

Common questions

How often should I use it?
A few minutes two or three times a week keeps most coats in order; during shedding season a short daily session catches the loose undercoat before it reaches the sofa.

How do I clean the tool?
Pull the collected fur off after each use and wipe the tool with a damp cloth. Electrical tools are wiped, never rinsed, unless Specifications says otherwise.

Is it suitable for cats and dogs?
The Suitable for line in Specifications tells you. Most grooming tools work on both as long as the pet is comfortable with the pressure; start gently and keep sessions short.

How long does delivery take?
Orders are processed in 1 to 3 business days and usually arrive in 6 to 12 business days in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, or 7 to 15 business days in Europe. Every order ships tracked and the link comes to your email.

What if it arrives damaged or is not what I ordered?
Email support@noblias.com with a photo within 7 days of delivery and we send a replacement or refund you. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery.

The brush is great! In just 3-4 strokes, it removed so much undercoat that it would normally take several days with a regular brush. And the main thing is that the cat doesn't get upset because it's quick. The fur is now soft and silky. Especially suitable for cats with long and dense fur. Received the package 10 days after ordering. Thank you for the quality product!

Customer photo review of Double-Sided Dog Dematting Comb & Deshedding Tool for Dogs & Cats

Compared to ordinary pet brushes, this one is a real find. In 15 minutes, I was able to comb out as much fur as I would have been able to with a regular brush in 20+ minutes (with the cat screaming and hissing). Moreover, my cat doesn't like being brushed, and she has a thick undercoat that needs constant grooming. When I tried this one, she behaved much more calmly (but sometimes she bites and then tries to escape). So, I recommend it to anyone with a similar problem 👌
