Rechargeable Flapping Butterfly Cat Toy with Three Modes

By the second day the new toy is just something on the floor she walks past. This one moves on its own. The wings beat, and the cat who had lost interest in everything drops flat and starts stalking.

This flapping butterfly cat toy beats its wings under its own power, and the motion is close enough to the real thing that she reacts to it as prey rather than as a machine on the carpet.

Why she keeps coming back:

• Motorized wing flapping: the wings beat rather than spin, so the movement reads as prey and not as a machine
• Three modes: the switch changes how it behaves, so the pattern never gets predictable
• Dense plush body: stuffed firm with reinforced stitching, built to be pounced on and carried
• Hanging cord: clip it to a door frame or a chair and it becomes a dangling target
• USB rechargeable: a cable in the box and no batteries to keep buying

The body is dense plush with reinforced stitching, so it takes being pounced on, dragged across the floor and carried off to wherever she thinks you won't look.

On the floor it's something to chase and trap under two paws. On the cord it swings out of reach and she stands up for it. Both work, and most people end up using both.

Flutter, tap, chase, pounce. The cycle runs itself, so a cat who has slept through the whole afternoon gets a real burst of running out of it.

Every butterfly is built the same way, same body, same cord, so picking one comes down to which pair of wings you'd rather see on your floor.
