Silicone Pet Hair Removal Broom with Squeegee Edge

You vacuumed the hallway rug this morning and there's still a gray haze in the pile when the light hits it. That's the hair the vacuum passed straight over. Drag this through once and it comes up in a line.

This pet hair removal broom drags six rows of silicone bristles through carpet pile and lifts the embedded fur into a ridge you can pick up in one go. The other edge is a rubber squeegee for hard floors.

What the head does:

• Six rows of silicone bristles: they grip embedded hair rather than sliding over it, so one pass brings up what the vacuum missed
• Rubber squeegee edge: pushes water and dust off tile and laminate, so the same tool clears the bathroom floor
• Head turns through 180 degrees: it lies flat to reach under a sofa and angles into corners

Two versions. The handheld is 15.7 in (40 cm) long with an 8.5 in (21.5 cm) head, for stairs, car seats and upholstery. The extendable has a 15.7 in (40 cm) head on a stainless steel pole that twist-locks anywhere from 26.4 to 43.3 in (67 to 110 cm), for whole rooms without bending.

Where it works: carpet and rugs first, then hardwood, laminate and tile. It also pulls hair off a sofa and out of a car footwell.

Care

Rinse the head under warm water and shake it dry. The silicone doesn't hold onto hair once it's wet.
