She sits on the back of the couch watching the room like something might happen in it. Nothing does. The mouse toys she already has lie exactly where she left them, because not one of them ever moves first.

This automatic moving mouse cat toy does. Flip the switch underneath and it takes off across the floor, changing direction in a way she cannot work out, which is what brings her down off the couch.

What gets her stalking again:

  • Unpredictable movement: changing directions keeps the chase interesting instead of predictable

A little mouse. A whole lot of curiosity.

A ginger cat leaps after the gray mouse as it curves away across a living room rug.

You do not have to be part of it. Switch it on, sit down, and watch her try to work out where it is going next. That is the appeal of a toy that moves on its own.

A short clip of a black and white cat pouncing on the mouse toy on a wood floor.

This is what it looks like on a hard floor. She commits, it changes direction, she resets and goes again. Some cats keep that up for a while.

A cat watches all three mice beside panels showing the soft fabric and the switch on the underside.

A soft flocked shell, rounded ears, a few printed stars or paw prints. It comes in three colors, and at this size it disappears into a drawer between play sessions.

Place it on a smooth, level surface and turn on the bottom switch. Then give her space to approach, investigate, and start the chase at her own pace.

Flip the switch, set it down on the floor she patrols, and then stay out of the way.

Common questions

Is it suitable for strong chewers?
Read the Safety note above. Plush, rope and electronic toys are made for play with you nearby rather than for unsupervised chewing; retire a toy once it is torn or cracked.

Does it need batteries?
Power and charging details, where they apply, are listed in Specifications. Toys without a power line in Specifications have no battery or motor.

How do I keep it clean?
Care is listed in Specifications. Fabric toys are usually hand washed and air dried; electronic toys are wiped with a damp cloth and never submerged.

Customer photo review of Soft Touch Automatic Moving Mouse Cat Toy

Very cute! My cat loves it even though he's very difficult to please. The toy moves and spins on its own, which is great for keeping a cat occupied by itself. I recommend it!

The toy is very fun, the size is quite small but the mouse behaves very well and doesn't make much noise. At the moment, all my kittens are delighted; we'll see how long it lasts.

Soft Touch Automatic Moving Mouse Cat Toy

Very cute mice. They run quickly on hardwood and tile floors. They don't want to go on the carpet. The cats liked them. They play with them. Thank you.

Soft Touch Automatic Moving Mouse Cat Toy

The mouse is great. Exactly like in the picture. Much better than those cockroach ones that run for cats. My Sphynx cats are delighted. The mouse runs fast enough.
